An Improved Hydraulic Library |
Figure 11, A piston system created using models from our Mechatronics Library, from schematic, to simulation, to waveform. The displacement driving the simulation is in units of meters. As the piston moves and the volume of the cylinder changes, the pressure output changes. Once the pressure output equals the initial pressure of the accumulator, the valve is opened and a steady state is achieved The Pos_Out graph shows when the valve is opened. The pressure builds slower as it is absorbed into the accumulator. The pressure in the Accum_Press does not begin to build until the valve is opened. The displacement and Neg_Out are shown as the pulse function used to drive the simulation. The displacement is shown in units of meters and the pressure is in units of MPa. The time of valve opening is seen more easily using the Scope output. |
