Intusoft's ICAP/4
product line provides powerful technology for the design of analog and
mixed-signal ICs/ASICs. Featured models include Berkeley's latest BSIM4,
plus MOSFET levels 1-6, EKV MOSFET, BSIMSOI, MESFET and varied-area transistor
devices. Also provided are special injection models derived from Dr. Middlebrook's
legendary General Feedback Theorem for measuring open loop properties
while preserving closed-loop bias conditions. ICAP/4's "IsSpice4"
4th-generation SPICE kernel is vastly enhanced SPICE3F5 and XSPICE based
technology, including several enhancements for large-scale IC/ASIC design.
These include specialized sparce-matrix and look-ahead simulation algorithms,
cutting-edge convergence parameters (some invented by Intusoft), operating
point display on schematic and a gamut of verification analyses such as
Monte Carlo, Worst case and Extreme Value. There are both interactive
(schematic-less) and standard sweeping methods for component parameters,
including real time waveform display for interactive mode.
Basic ICAP/4 Solution
ICAP/4Rx is a complete design-simulation solution that provides
design entry, analog & mixed-signal simulation, debugging tools, 15,500+
simulation models, arbitrary cross-probing from schematic to waveform
viewing window with three modes to update existing waveforms, pole-zero
analysis, and 150 waveform-processing functions for IC/ASIC designs not
requiring advanced verification. The waveform-viewing tool also accepts
HSPICE style CSDF files. Operating point information and waveforms can
be viewed directly on the schematic. Schematic "layering" enables
quick highlighting of design sections and makes for instant creation of
different design configurations for debug, test, documentation, mil-standard,
etc. Graphic shapes and text can be easily added to the drawing. New models
can be imported and attached to a graphic shape for simulation.
More Advanced ICAP/4 Solution
ICAP/4 Professional
Intusoft's foremost analog and mixed-signal simulation solution, including
a fully integrated, hierarchical and configurable design entry system
(SpiceNet), complete set of interactive simulation & verification
applications, "DSP Designer," 2-port analysis, Smith Charts,
model building tools, all library modules, library manager and Automatic
Failure Mode Simulation.
ICAP/4Windows
Power Deluxe
Expands the ICAP/4Windows tool suite (above) with focused power electronic
capability (Power model library and model building tool "SpiceMod"),
as well as "DSP Designer:" advantageous for power electronics
designers.
ICAP/4Windows comprises a total of 21,700+ simulation models,
and adds in 2-port analysis, pole-zero analysis, model building tool,
and library management tool. It also includes AC/DC & transient sensitivity
analysis, noise and distortion analyses, plus interactive parametric variation
and nested component sweeping. A complete set of design verification analyses,
such as Monte Carlo, worst case, extreme value and root-summed squares
parametric variation is provided for IC/ASIC designs. A full set of electrical
measurements can be specified across the design, and the results are numerically
charted after simulation, including pass/fail histogram readout and component
stress alarms.
