Intusoft's Configurable Schematic Awarded U.S. Government Patent
San Pedro, CA (June 18, 2001) -- Lawrence Meares, president and
founder of electronic design analysis software maker Intusoft (DAC Exhibitor,
Booth 639) was awarded a U.S. government patent (No. US 6,230,305 B1)
on May 8, 2001 for a configurable schematic. The invention is used within
Intusoft's ICAP/4 Windows circuit simulation software. During the integrated circuit design process, different schematic diagrams
are required. A design engineer may use a closed loop schematic during
a development stage, while a production engineer may use a production
schematic. A test engineer may create a number of schematics to test a
circuit according to different sets of stimuli and load conditions. These
schematics are associated with the same core circuit and often incorporate
the same components, as well as unique elements.
